Poppin' Buds

I've had numerous people on SCS ask me "How'd you do that!?"... well, here's the scoop!

First, the leaves and flowers were stamped in Versamark on black cardstock. Stamp the flowers separately as they will be cutout later!

Emboss the images with white embossing powder.. let sit for a few minutes to "set".

The images were colored using pastels, a blender pen and a very small drop of water. I put the water directly onto the pastels, made a little "pool" of color, then used the blender pen to apply the color to the image. I started with a really light load .. colored all over the image, then added more where I needed shading.

Hint!: Solid images work for this technique... line images, well, not so good! :)

The layering on the card is NON-SPECIFIC! I do not measure anything ... I make cards like I cook.. hehe.

Welcome to my "blog"!

Well first for the exciting news! After many years of being MOM, housekeeper, bookkeeper, management and overall chief cook and bottlewasher for this group of 5 men I live with... I'm going back to work!

I have my first job interview in 16 years.. tomorrow morning! Yup, that's why I'm wide awake at 3am. No, I'm not nervous.. I'm excited! I don't NEED a job, I WANT it :) ~~
